You are required to summon the employee at least five working days prior to the interview date.
This period begins on the day following the first presentation of the registered letter to the employee. Accordingly, it is important to consider postal delivery times between the dispatch of the letter and its initial presentation. According to the Post Office, this typically takes three working days. Please note that working days include every day of the week except Sundays and public holidays.
Example: If the letter of summons is posted on Thursday, October 2, and first presented to the employee on Tuesday, October 7, the calculation of the notice period starts on Wednesday, October 8, and concludes on Monday, October 13 (excluding Sundays). The earliest possible date for the interview would therefore be Tuesday, October 14.
