The Occupational Risk Insurance program offers financial assistance to businesses that invest in measures to lower the risks faced by employees and self-employed workers. A latest information campaign is in progress to encourage employers and self-employed workers to utilize this aid.
Aid for companies with less than 50 employees
Companies with fewer than fifty employees can receive subsidies to finance equipment, training, or support to reduce certain occupational risks.
The risks concerned by this subsidy are:
- chemical risks (diesel fumes, paint booths, dangerous chemical agents, welding fumes, dental technicians, asbestos, etc.).
- psycho-social risks.
- the risks of falls from the same level and from heights in the construction sector.
- the risks of falling from heights during the construction of single-family houses.
Note: The amount of the subsidy is a maximum of €25,000.
Help for all businesses!
Employers covered by the general Social Security scheme as well as self-employed workers, who have taken out individual voluntary insurance against accidents at work, commuting and occupational diseases, can benefit from the “prevention of ergonomic risks” subsidy, which aims to reduce workers’ exposure to manual handling of loads, awkward postures and mechanical vibrations.
With this subsidy, companies can finance:
- preventive actions (ergonomic diagnoses and training) and actions to raise awareness of risk factors.
- workstation adaptations proposed by the occupational physician as part of a Professional Disintegration Prevention approach.
- personnel costs dedicated to the implementation of actions financed by the fund.
- equipment (transfer equipment, rolling stock, height-adjustable worktops, hand-held tools, seats, and equipment that limits exposure to vibrations, and trade-specific equipment).
The amount of the subsidy amounts to 70% of the investments made, up to a limit of €25,000 per type of investment and €75,000 per company (€25,000 for those with at least two hundred employees) for all types of investment. For staff costs, the ceiling is set at a flat rate of €8,235.
